WELCOME TO OUR JULY eNEWSLETTER
| | |
We're coming off our high of an amazing month watching the World Cup, with many of our dive friends from around the world glued to the action. It was so fun being united in sport, and it reminded us how quickly our dive buddies can become our best friends and dive family!
This month, we're diving headfirst into the unbelievable waters of North Sulawesi! From drifting along the technicolor coral walls of Bunaken and Bangka to hunting for weird and wonderful critters in the famous muck of the Lembeh Strait, Indonesia’s underwater paradise is calling.
Of course, looking good on the surface interval is half the fun! Between dives, you can shade your face and rebrand your post-dive hair with our brand-new One World Dive & Travel caps. Read on for all the details on the trip, our new gear, and a quick dive tip on why reef colors vanish at depth!
Blowing Bubbles,
Your One World Dive & Travel Family
| | JOIN OUR PASSPORT TO PARADISE | |
Join us as we explore 3 unique areas of Indonesia: Bunaken, Bangka & Lembeh, located in North Sulawesi. Biodiversity at its best...that is the only way to describe diving in Indonesia.
As part of our “Passport to Paradise”, we will spend 4 nights at each resort: Murex Manado, Murex Bangka & Lembeh Resort, with boat transfers between each resort (and dives along the way). Bunaken & Bangka offer amazing wall diving & stunning, colorful reefs. The Lembeh Strait is world famous for its muck diving and abundance of rare and unusual marine life.
If you are looking for an amazing resort based Indonesia experience, join us for a trip to remember. Click here for more info or call the store to reserve your spot.

| | WHY RESCUE DIVER MIGHT BE THE BEST COURSE YOU EVER TAKE | |
You don't need Rescue Diver training...until you do. Whether you're an avid diver or someone who only dives on vacation, the chance of something unexpected happening underwater is never zero. The good news? The Rescue Diver course can help in preventing them in the first place.
You'll learn to recognize the subtle signs of diver stress, solve small problems before they become big ones, and stay calm when the unexpected happens. Just as importantly, you'll learn to recognize when you need to slow down, regroup, and make smart decisions.
What surprises most divers is how much Rescue Diver transforms the way they dive. Your awareness becomes sharper, your confidence grows, and safe diving habits become second nature. Time and time again, divers tell us it's the course where everything finally "clicks." You won't leave wearing an underwater superhero cape—but you'll leave as a more capable, confident diver and an even better buddy.
At One World Dive & Travel, we believe every diver can benefit from Rescue Diver training, regardless of experience level. Click here and discover why it's often called the most valuable certification a recreational diver can earn. Because the best rescues are the ones that never have to happen.
| WHY YOUR DIVES ARE MISSING THEIR TRUE COLORS | |
Ever wonder why the reef looks so much more vibrant in photos than it did on your dive? As you descend, colors disappear, leaving even the most spectacular coral reefs looking muted. The good news? You don't have to miss out on the underwater world's true beauty.
A dive light transforms every dive by restoring the brilliant reds, oranges, yellows, and purples hidden beneath the surface. Whether you're cruising over a reef during the day or searching for nocturnal creatures, a dive light reveals incredible details and vivid colors you simply can't see with ambient light alone.
Compact, reliable, and designed with a comfortable textured grip, The Orca7 makes an excellent primary dive light while also serving as a dependable backup for seasoned divers. Built to perform dive after dive, it's ready for reef adventures, wreck penetrations, and everything in between.
Stop by One World Dive & Travel to see the ORCA7 in person, learn how the right dive light can elevate every underwater adventure, and pick your favorite color. Once you've experienced diving with a light, you'll never want to dive without one again.

NEED TO REFRESH YOUR DIVE SKILLS?
POOL NIGHT ~ Once a month, we open our pool for divers to come in after hours and splash around if they've been diving within the last 2 years. This is a self guided review (there won't be an instructor on duty) but gives you a chance to set up your gear, blow bubbles, and keep things fresh between trips. $25 covers your pool time, one rental tank and any scuba equipment you may need. Sign up online as we have limited availability each night.
The pool will be available from 6 - 9pm on the following nights:
- August 11
- September 16
- October 7
- November 6
- December 15
If our scheduled dates don't match up with your schedule, you can always arrange a pool workout. Give us a call to discuss.
SCUBA REFRESHERS ~ If it’s been longer than 2 years since your last dive, then you’ll need a SCUBA REFRESHER. In this four hour class, instructors share practical tips from their personal experience of diving and jump in the water with you to make sure you are comfortable setting up your gear, controlling your buoyancy and review your emergency skills. The class is offered three times each month, and is often required by a resort if you haven't been diving in a year. If you have been out of the water for longer than 8 years, you will need to schedule this class privately.
Call the shop at 303-220-8282 for more information or click here to register for our upcoming SCUBA Refresher courses.
