Kids have a knack for asking some difficult questions. Some are difficult because we have to find an age-appropriate way to explain difficult concepts like gravity, and some questions are difficult because if we’re honest we’re not exactly sure about the answer either. If you’re like us, your kids have probably asked some hard-to-answer questions about who God is, how Jesus can be God’s son and what it means to have Jesus “inside your heart” (and how that’s not the same as indigestion). No matter what questions you’ve had, we can all agree that parenting, and specifically raising kids who know and love Jesus, should come with a manual!

While we can’t guarantee easy answers to all the questions your kids will pose, we want to help equip you to have these faith conversations with your children. That’s why we have created Faith & Family – a six-week course for the whole family. In this course, you and your children will learn about God and the story of Israel in the Old Testament in a fun and interactive way that will help you grow as a family and learn how to make faith conversations part of everyday life.

The class will meet from 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. in the Asbury Room beginning September 12. We will begin each week with a time for both the adults and kids to hang out. We’ll have coffee and donuts available for you to enjoy as you get to know some of the other parents while your kids play on the playground right outside the Asbury Room. We’ll then move inside for a fun time of teaching, games, discussion, and activities that will make God's truth come to life for us all.

Raising little disciples is one of the greatest joys and privileges we can ever have. It is a responsibility we don’t take lightly, and we know that we cannot fulfill the call of scripture to train up our children in the way of the Lord on our own. We need each other. We hope you and your family will join in as we start at the very beginning and work our way from Genesis to Revelation and all that’s in between!
