Neighborhood Services
Check out our HOA reference library!
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go!” – Dr. Seuss

The city of Goodyear’s Neighborhood Services Department maintains a reference library at the Goodyear Branch Library geared specifically towards community managers and HOA members (although the general public is welcome to peruse it, too).

The reference library is located on a rotating book and magazine rack near the Innovation Hub. You’ll find a number of books covering a wide array of topics, including: ethics and governance guidelines, standards of care, board member duties, landscaping, aging, parking and even water features and pool maintenance.

Staff picks for books include:
  • The Board Member Toolkit: A Guide for Community Association Leaders
  • Reinventing the Rules: A New Perspective
  • The Art of Social Media
  • Be Reasonable: How Community Associations Can Enforce Rules without Antagonizing Residents, Going to Court or Starting World War III

Please stop by, check out the materials, and feel free to send us an email letting us know what additional topics you’d like to see included in this reference library: or
