Cleve Tutt- Tutt Custom Homes
The flowers are in bloom, the trees once again have leaves and I am finding myself mowing the grass much to regularly. However, I am choosing to FOCUS on the good and positive things at are going on around me, even though our world has been riddled with chaos in the last several months. I have continued to see families walking, fishing and biking together. People doing things as a "family". I hope we do not lose sight of the value of such engagement going forward. Call me crazy, but I truly believe that our community and this nation could be a better place to live and play because of this virus. I challenge all of us to remain committed to never losing sight of the lessons we have learned from all of this.

The month of July which is easily referred to as the "Dog Days of Summer" especially in West Texas, is starting out abundantly blessed by the Good Lord and the much-needed rains that He has provided for us. July will also bring about the Annual Parade of Homes. This event will take place two weekends in July. Mark your calendars for July 11th & 12th and 18th & 19th. This year you will see the craftsmanship from 10 of our local builder members, spread out across 16 different homes that will be available for touring. Be sure to review the postcard below for the official addresses of the homes that will be open. As a valued HBA Member, we would also like to invite you to join us for the Parade of Homes Fiesta that we will be hosting on Friday July 10th. You can read more below, and be sure to RSVP before the deadline.

August will be here before we know it and the HBA is so happy to be moving forward as planned with our Annual Clay Shoot benefiting the Habitat for Humanity. This year’s event will take place on Saturday August 8th at the Abilene Clay Sports Range. Check out the links below for more information and details on how you can get your team registered. We are also looking for volunteers to help us coordinate this well attended event and make it a memorable experience for all of our shooters, sponsors, members and friends.

We're moving forward one day at a time and together we will weather any storm that comes our way. Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and Stay Positive. We will see you on Thursday July 2nd for our monthly membership luncheon.

Sincerely,
Cleve Tutt

Parade of Homes - Rescheduled Event
Check Out The Spring Builders Showcase Publication
In addition to the 4500 copies that went out by mail to residents all over Abilene, please enjoy this online edition of the Spring Builders Showcase. We would like to express our appreciation to our Grand Tour Presenting Sponsors, First Financial Bank and Taylor Telecom , whose continued support helps bring this event to the citizens of Abilene each year. We are also very thankful to the many advertisers who make this publication possible. Please note, some of the homes in this magazine are no longer available for show. Please check the HBA website or Facebook for the updated list of homes that will be available for showing on the weekends of July 11-12 and July 18-19. As our gift to the community, admission for this year's event will be FREE and we do ask that you responsibly follow the social distancing guidelines to the best of your ability.

The homes featured on the tour are also featured online. As builders complete the homes, they will provide updated photos of the finished product so that you can still view them, even from the comforts of your own home. These homes offer beauty, functionality and allow you to experience the latest in home design trends and technology.

Speaking of Silent Auction, this year we will introduce you to a "Raffle Style" event. We will have books of tickets available for purchase. Based on the items you LOVE and cant LIVE without you will place your tickets in the various boxes that belong to those various items. If you really really LOVE an item you may put ALL of your tickets in that one box to increase your chances of winning. The strategies are endless and we hope you will have some FUN with this while we raise money for Habitat which is the ultimate goal. All items will be drawn and the winners will be notified by text message.
