Greetings HBA Members and Friends...
I would like to take moment to offer my THANKS for all the hard work that has been accomplished on so many levels and through so many individuals and so many member businesses as we have continued to move through the COVID-19 Pandemic. The non-stop efforts to keep Abilene safe and to keep Abilene building does not go unnoticed. While the construction community has been tasked with new challenges navigating our way through a "new" normal it has been a smoother process than expected and there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Your local HBA and its leadership had a voice in making sure that construction was deemed an essential service and while many businesses have been deeply impacted by COVID-19 the HBA needs its members now, more than ever, in order to continue to provide the advocacy and services that we believe to be our most crucial service. Renewals and new memberships are needed and necessary. Through this storm you have shown resilience and strength and I am convinced we have a membership family that is unmatched by any other organization. I encourage you to remember the motto "do business with a member" and I encourage you to utilize the services of other HBA members. It is in times of uncertainty we can show the true power of being a member of the Big Country HBA Family and what we can all accomplish together.
Speaking of "accomplishments" we have some good news to share. Although we have faced some challenges in bringing this event to life due to the effects of COVID-19, the Parade of Homes has been rescheduled for July 11th & 12th and July 18th and 19th. We encourage you to Explore, Discover and be Inspired by this year’s featured homes. Keep scrolling and you can read more about this exciting news.
Let's help each other and keep the HBA thriving. I'll see you on Thursday June 4th at the Abilene Country Club for our monthly membership luncheon. Bring a colleague and let's have some fun.
Big Country HBA President
