Member Highlight
This month, we would like to highlight two members of our Y that have traveled around the world and have found the Kirk Family YMCA to be their home. Dolly JK and her son JohnIan have traveled to at least 5 different continents around the globe. Within these travels, the YMCA has always been one of their destinations in Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia, and the US. The Kirk Family YMCA is their favorite YMCA because they have made a second family here with other members and our staff. Not only is it the healthy living and wellness aspect of the YMCA that attracts them, but Dolly JK describes that it is the personal touches of our staff members remembering each person's name and the genuine relationships built with them and other families that have brought her and JohnIan back each time.

Dolly JK and JohnIan have six rules of their household: family first, eat healthy, exercise, love, laughter, and happiness. These strong family values have attracted them to our youth programs where JohnIan participates in swim lessons, soccer, T-ball, and running laps on the track while Dolly JK participates in Aqua Zumba, Zumba, and cycling. Dolly JK and JohnIan also participate in YMCA family nights like the Father-Son Banquet, the Drive in Movie theater, So Long to Summer Fest, and numerous Kids Night Outs. They "appreciate the variety of programs offered at the Y and how affordable they are." We wanted to celebrate these two members because their love for the Kirk Family YMCA is inspiring and valued and we are blessed to have them as members!
