It's time for the Annual All You Can Eat Fish Fry!

Join us for a fish fry fundraiser hosted by Crystal Loon Lake Rec. Association on Saturday, February 28 at the Lake Crystal Legion

The event will run from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM (or until we run out of fish).

Menu & Pricing:

Enjoy beer-battered fish, sides, bread, coffee, and milk for $16.00 per person.

Children under 12 eat for $8.00, and children 5 and under eat free.

All proceeds will support the maintenance and future replacement of aeration pumps for Crystal and Loon Lakes. These pumps play a vital role in preventing fish winterkill by maintaining oxygen levels in these shallow lakes.

Crystal Loon Lake Recreation, founded over 30 years ago, collaborated with the DNR to install and monitor this essential aeration system. In addition to maintaining the pumps, the group ensures thin ice warning signs are posted for safety. As the current system ages, funds raised will help with upkeep and the eventual installation of a new system.

Western Blue Earth County Hybrid Program

February 28 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Returning in 2026, many of the sit-down, history programs will be hybrid!

In February, we will be taking a virtual tour of Western Blue Earth County.

Towns included are South Bend, Judson, Cambria, Lake Crystal, Garden City, Vernon Center, Amboy, Serling Center, Good Thunder, and Rapidan.

Attend in person at the History Center or join us via Zoom from anywhere! Can’t make the live recording? Register for the Zoom recording and get it sent to you to be able to view for up to a week after the program.

In-person admission is $10/adults, $8/seniors, and free for BECHS Members.

Online registration is $10/household and must happen in advance. Registration closes at 10 a.m. Central Time the day of the program.
