Cleve Tutt- Tutt Custom Homes
Happy March HBA Members and Friends. I cannot believe that we are already on the homestretch to closing out the First Quarter of 2020. So far, so good and I would like to thank everyone for the confidence in trusting me to lead this organization.
This is a great opportunity for me to give back my time, talent and treasures to an industry that is an important part of my life. I have seen a lot of changes in the home-building industry throughout the years. We have gone through difficult and slow times, energy and code changes as well as labor force shortages and housing affordability issues. I encourage everyone to become more involved in the HBA because it allows us all to be part of the solution to solve issues, make the home-building industry stronger and help make positive changes for the building industry. This association is part of the glue that holds the building industry together and the Big Country HBA is here to help every one of us succeed, whether it is fighting for affordable housing, fair regulation changes, keeping members up to date or encouraging the younger generation to become involved. Speaking of getting involved, we have ample opportunities coming up in the months of March and April that we hope you will attend. Be sure to check out the dates for our March Membership Luncheon (March 5th), Builders Academy Sponsored by Ingram Concrete (March 24th), Business After Hours Sponsored by First Financial Bank (April 2nd), Crawfish and Cornhole (April 4th) brought to you by the ladies of the local Professional Women in Building (PWB) and another edition of Cocktails and Conversation (April 30th). I look forward to seeing each and every one of you very soon at another HBA Affiliated event.

Cleve Tutt
Big Country HBA President
On behalf of the HBA Board of Directors, I want to extend a heart-felt thank you for your commitment to the HBA and the building industry as a whole. The generous contribution of these businesses has helped make our vision for this Association a reality.
As we continue to grow as an association, please know that our partnerships with our sponsors are vital to the success of this HBA.  You are truly appreciated.

The Big Country Stone yard is conveniently located in Abilene, Texas and open six days a week for Spring/Summer hours and Five days a week during the winter. Whether your project is large or small for your convenience we sell by the pallet or the pound. Many of the most distinguished home builders and expert masons in the area send their clients Big Country Stone because they know each customer will be taken care of in the spirit of a family owned and operated environment.
We also offer a unique selection of River Rock Stone and large Landscape Boulders to enhance the outdoor serenity of any home.

How long has Big Country Stone been a member of the BCHBA and why did you decide to join?
Big Country Stone has been an active member of the BCHBA for over 10 years. We do this as a way to show our support for the local home builders in the area and we have seen the value in our membership through increased sales during our time as members.

What do you enjoy most about your involvement with the HBA?
The staff at Big Country Stone enjoys the multiple events that are hosted by the HBA each year. We find these events to be a great way to network and get to know our customers on a personal level. It's also nice meeting new people and potential customers.

What is one thing you have learned, industry related or not from your current role at Big Country Stone?
Specifically related to the industry, it has been enlightening to gain the understanding and knowledge of just how much the HBA and the Texas Association of Builders do behind the scenes to advocate for the building industry as a whole in Austin.

What is something about you or your business that not many people know?
Big Country Stone is locally owned and operated and has been for over 15 years. The money that our customers spend with us stays right here in the Big Country and that is something we are very proud of.

Thank You Big Country Stone for "Promoting and Protecting the Building Industry" alongside your local HBA.
