Disaster Site Worker Trainer Course

 

This course readies experienced outreach training program trainers to deliver 7.5 and 15-hour disaster site worker outreach training for second responders. It covers the national response framework, incident command system, disaster work zone safety, respiratory protection, communication and adult training principles through discussions, exercises, demonstrations and presentations.

This course addresses OSHA excavation requirements, hazards and control measures for managing excavation/trenching operations. Participants will also learn soil analysis techniques and protective system requirements, gaining the knowledge to effectively oversee such operations.

OSHA Training Guidelines for Safe Patient Handling


This course covers OSHA ergonomic guidelines for safe patient handling in health care, focusing on hazard analysis and practical solutions. Topics include developing ergonomic processes, assessing risk factors and implementing solutions. Upon completion, students can apply OSHA’s guidelines, understand the benefits of ergonomics and address ergonomic issues in health care.

This course covers developing and implementing exposure control plans (ECP) for OSHA bloodborne pathogens compliance. Topics include standard understanding, exposure assessment, ECP development, vaccinations, incident response, training and recordkeeping.
