How's your Balancing Act?

Any Libra's in the house?  Your sign is the scale, which signifies balance. I'm not sure how much that "signage" plays into a balanced life, but I do know that the more balanced you might feel, you're probably feeling more freedom.  For me, and in my work, I am often reminded that what works for some people does not necessarily work for others.  Or one person's idea of balance may not constitute anything remotely balanced from another person's perspective.  I, for one can easily find myself completely unbalanced when overwhelmed by the internal or the external.  Holding onto a sense of balance can be quite the challenge.

Stress Awareness Month

Stress Awareness Month has been held every April, since 1992.

During this annual thirty day period, health care professionals and health promotion experts across the country will join forces to increase public awareness about both the causes and cures for our modern stress epidemic.

Sponsored by The Health Resource Network (HRN), a non-profit health education organization, Stress Awareness Month is a national, cooperative effort to inform people about the dangers of stress, successful coping strategies, and harmful misconceptions about stress that are prevalent in our society.

Just as stress is different for each of us there is no stress reduction strategy that is a panacea. Rosacea Awareness Month

The National Rosacea Society (NRS) designates April as Rosacea Awareness Month to educate the public on the impact of this chronic and widespread facial disorder now estimated to affect more than 16 million Americans. The goal of Rosacea Awareness Month is to spread public education on this disease so that more people who may have rosacea seek medical help before it gets worse, and so those whose lives are affected can find greater public acceptance and understanding.
