Laguna Boulevard Open House Scheduled
The City of South Padre Island will host an Open House meeting to obtain input from the community regarding the reconstruction of Laguna Boulevard This meeting will be held on Feb. 16, 2020, at City Hall, located at 4601 Padre Blvd. from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The purpose of the meeting is to offer an opportunity for the public to discuss and make comments. Maps, drawings, and other information about the project will be on display, showing potential design concepts.
Project personnel will be on hand at the displays throughout the open house. They will assist in orientation and interpretation of the drawings and other material on hand and discuss the possible design and effects of the project.
“The community is encouraged to attend and to examine the project in greater detail,” said Carlos A. Sanchez, Public Works director. “This meeting will provide an opportunity to be involved, suggest priorities and strategies.”
Fall 2020, the Council approved the concept design and the plans are thirty-percent completed. Click HERE to view the updated plans. The community may attend this open house virtually.
