City Issues Statement Regarding Unsolicited Offer to Purchase City-owned Marin Valley Mobile Country Club
In June, the Novato City Council received an unsolicited offer to purchase City-owned Marin Valley Mobile Country Club (MVMCC), a 315-unit mobile home park located on 63-acres at 100 Marin Valley Drive. MVMCC is a 55+ community of more than 400 residents.

The Novato Historical Guild: San Ramon Elementary School Parents Tour the Novato History Museum
On June 30, four families from our Hispanic community participated in a tour of the Novato History Museum, organized by San Ramon Elementary School parents Grissel Magana and Sara Torres. Nearly 20 adults and children attended the tour which was translated to Spanish by Grissel. This effort was made possible thanks to the Guild's Hispanic Outreach Committee, comprising of Grissel, Sara, Maria Aguila, Sandra Lua, Novato History Museum Manager Susan Magnone and Guild Vice President Barry Smail.
Last spring, members of the Hispanic Outreach Committee gave a series of presentations to the English Learners Advisory Committees of all but two NUSD schools. Parents were invited to chronicle their Novato family histories and submit their stories and family artifacts to the Museum.
The Novato Historical Guild operates two museums, and both museums are open Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 12-4pm. For more information, please call 415.382.8614 or go to novatohistory.org.
