Living in a Drought
All trees need water to stay healthy (even mature ones!) and drought-stressed trees are more susceptible to disease. You can help keep your trees alive during the drought by capturing greywater from your washing machine, shower, and sink to water trees in your garden. Every drop counts and your trees won’t mind a little soap. BUT they don't like chlorine, boron, or sodium, so if you're using greywater from your washing machine be sure your soap is free of these three ingredients. Download a PDF with more tips.
Check out North Marin Water District's website for tools and suggestions to help you conserve water, including a free Water Smart Home Survey, as well as rebates on appliances, and more: nmwd.com/save-water

- Wear a face covering when out in public spaces.
