What City Services are Most Important to You?
The City of Novato has kicked off its annual Budget Community Priorities Survey and encourages our community to share their input to help shape Novato’s Fiscal Year 2022/23 City Budget. This year, the City’s goal is to responsibly maintain fiscal stability and address revenue issues caused by an increase in costs, as well as the expiration of voter-approved local funding.
Please take our survey and share your feedback to help guide the City Council through this year’s budget priorities. The survey closes March 27 at 11:59pm.

Celebrating Women's History Month
This #WomensHistoryMonth, Novato proudly celebrates women's contributions to history, culture and society across the world. To celebrate, we'll be sharing some pivotal women from our community throughout the month. We’re #NovatoProud of the women in Novato and encourage you to nominate a Novatan who has made a positive impact in our community.
We're especially #NovatoProud to celebrate Mary K. Sweeney, or MK as she is known, works passionately to end homelessness as executive director for Homeward Bound of Marin! For more than two decades, she has led award-winning ventures that house, train and employ people with housing needs. She was also inducted into the Marin Women's Hall of Fame for her outstanding work. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for more #NovatoProud posts throughout Women's History Month!

Dog Licensing Late Fees Waived Through March
Last month we reminded you that all dogs living in Marin County must have a dog license from Marin Humane. This is the first thing Marin Humane looks at when they receive a stray dog. Licenses help your dog get back home and are the law.
This month Marin Humane is waiving all late fees on any expired dog license! Marin Humane also has an updated dog licensing site to make it easier to renew or purchase a license.

Stay Healthy Novato
The best way to reduce the risk of becoming infected with respiratory virus, whether the flu or coronavirus, is to practice good hygiene:
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
- Wear a face covering when out in public spaces.
- Maintain 6 feet distance from those outside of your own household.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or crook of your elbow (not your hands). If you use a tissue, throw it away and wash your hands afterwards.
- Avoid touching your face.
- Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
- Get vaccinated.
