Alumni Achievement Awards Honor Those Giving Back

Stockton University honored the remarkable achievements of its alumni at the 2025 Alumni Achievement Awards held on Thursday, June 5, in the Campus Center Event Room.

The evening, filled with heartfelt stories, lively music and campus pride, brought together graduates, faculty, staff and friends to recognize the outstanding contributions of Ospreys who continue to make an impact in their professions, communities and at their alma mater.

Soccer Team Flamengo Thankful for Stockton's 'Magic Grass'

The president of CR Flamengo, the most popular soccer team in Brazil, reached down and touched the grass field at Stockton University’s G. Larry James Stadium.

“We joked with the people here. They said that this is the magic grass, the grama mágica,” Luiz Eduardo Baptista said during a visit on Sunday, June 22. “And since superstition is a part of football, it’s worked really well for us so far, so let’s keep it that way.”
