This Christmas, join us for a new, family-friendly outdoor event open to the community. Experience the wonder of Christmas as you step into a nostalgic Christmas village full of fun and festivities and stroll through a Journey in Lights, where thousands of lights and a professional sound design immerse you in the story of Christmas. Enjoy different nightly lineups of live music, a Christmas market with unique and hand-crafted items, delicious food, warm beverages, activities for kids and more!

Admission is FREE! Food and gifts will be available for purchase.

Dear WVCS Friends and Families, 

We have some news that we are delighted to share with you - our school families from preschool to 8th grade. This week, the Fritz B. Burns Foundation made a $1,000,000.00 donation to West Valley Christian School. Since 2018, President and Vice-President Rex and Maureen Rawlinson have been so kind and generous in their support towards our school facilities and educational programs. In total, over the last five years they have contributed over three million dollars to West Valley Christian School. Rex and Maureen are dear friends of my wife Michelle and I, and continue to push us for even bigger plans for future years. The Fritz B. Burns Foundation has an amazing heritage supporting schools with state of the art educational resources!  Next semester, I would like to arrange a meeting where you can hear their story and our vision for our future programs at WVCS. I can assure you, the best is yet to come!

These funds have been carefully allocated towards specific projects and curriculum development to enhance your children's educational experience. We are so grateful for your partnership as you continue to bless the teachers, teacher aides and the enrichment staff with your generosity. Any general donations from parents are always divided among our staff. We don't ever want you to feel obligated to donate because we know God loves a cheerful giver. If the Lord puts a name or two on your heart, please send a note of gratitude and share your love and appreciation. 

In closing, our faculty and staff are honored to serve each family at WVCS, but like never before are we more excited about our bright future as we continue to honor God and pursue excellence in education.  

With great humility, it is an honor to come alongside you to help develop your children's unique and precious "gifts." It is with deeply grateful hearts that we accept your generosity and appreciation and it is with great joy that we celebrate God's redeeming gift in a lowly manger. Merry Christmas West Valley and Merry Christmas to all!

Parent Survey - Feedback Needed!

We are seeking our parents' input regarding “Academic Rigor” for your child.  We define academic rigor as “the educational experience that engages students in content appropriate to their academic level and helps them learn to analyze, evaluate, and ultimately create.”  Over the last two years, to bolster our educational programs, we have employed a new STEM teacher, a new writing expert highlighting critical thinking skills, and a new Individual Academic Support Director. Also, to enhance our curriculum, WVCS has added a new writing curriculum (College Board Springboard), added a new math curriculum (Reveal), added a new science curriculum (Elevate), created two math paths in Middle School and purchased $75k in educational resources.  Now is an appropriate time for us to collect your feedback so that we can identify the effectiveness of these efforts to reach all learners.  If you have additional time and would like to discuss your insights in person, please schedule an appointment with Mr. Swales to discuss any of the following topics.
