The 2025 Jubilee "Pilgrims of Hope"

Lenten Reflection: Fourth Week

You Are My Hope

As Pope Francis has said, “Mercy gives rise to joy, because our hearts are opened to the hope of a new life”

(Misericordia et misera, No. 3).

Pope Francis has chosen, “You Are My Hope,” (Ps. 71:5) as a particularly significant emphasis during this jubilee year. This theme reflects the heart of the Jubilee Year, inspired by “Spes non confundit”—“Hope does not disappoint” (Rom 5:5).  This Holy Year is, therefore, the Jubilee Year of Hope, in which everyone, wherever they are in the world, are welcome to become “Pilgrims of Hope.”

Reflection for the fourth week of Lent: Reflect upon how you look at those who are closest to you. Spend time pondering how God is at work in them. Ask God for the grace to see them as He does.
