Watch The New Venice Beach HD Web Cam - Live!

If you haven't checked it out already go to venicebeachlivecam.tv and take a look at the brand new HD web cam.  It allows you to actually take control of the camera and move it up, down, left, right as well as zoom in incredibly close.  So close that you can actually read the writing on the tennis balls!  Take a look at the Paddle Tennis courts before you go down to see who's playing or just simply check the weather.  Here's what you do to make it work.

1) Go to www.venicebeachlivecam.tv

2) Select "Control Camera" in the top right corner of the image.

3) If another user is controlling the camera already the timer will tell you how much time left until you can take control (Usually 1-2 minutes).

4) Once you have control click on "Show Presets"

5) Select the preset for the view you want or use the sliders to manually move the camera in any direction as well as zoom in and out.

Now if everyone would hold up score cards for their games we could follow along live without leaving the house.  Go play!

Venice Beach Paddle Tennis Courts Construction Update

You may have noticed the signs on the courts indicating that the Paddle Tennis Courts are going to be overhauled beginning August 22nd.  All the fencing will be replaced, new windscreens will be installed and the courts will be resurfaced.  The job will be done three courts at a time so that there will still be courts available for play at all times.  The first three courts to go down will be courts one, two and three.  As the USPTA gets more information we will make sure to pass it along.
