We are thrilled to announce the release of a new online map to help residents and visitors navigate their way to New York's treasured canals.
NYCANALMAP.COM brings together the power of mapping tools with a wealth of information on hundreds of
places of interest, visitor centers, boat rentals and tours, and paddling access sites.
The map includes:
- Filter by category, region, specific locations, or features such as public restrooms, camping, marinas, and picnic facilities to find what you're looking for.
- Location details and images to help you choose sites to visit.
- Directions and a distance calculator to easily plan trips by bike or car.
- NYS Canalway Water Trail mileage for paddlers and motorized boaters. The online map is the perfect companion to the NYS Canalway Water Trail Guidebook.
- Links to ERIECANALWAY.ORG, CANALS.NY.GOV, and ILNY.COM, as well as to each attraction, so you can navigate quickly to additional information and travel resources.
