Brown is back - here's how top designers style this grounding, versatile hue
This is the color that's as daring as it is elegant and as industrial as it is classic – unsurprisingly, designers love its tones.
Brown may have had an unfair amount of time on the outer fringe or interior design trends, but now, that has changed. Some of the world's top designers have begun to flirt with this deep, complex shade –and its daring aesthetic is versatile enough to work in every and any scheme.
After years of caution, the era of decorating with brown is here, and while this movement is labeled a colour trend, we expect this color will endure at the forefront of designer palettes for many seasons ahead. But why have brown interiors fallen into fashion now? And how do the experts style the tone in their projects and homes? Here's what you need to know.
WHY IS BROWN TRENDING?

How to Clean a Concrete Patio to Remove Tough Stains
There are many elements that can stain your patio. Regular foot traffic can track dirt, grime, and grease over outdoor cement flooring. Plus, concrete patios are exposed to harsh weather and lots of use during warmer months. This can leave your walkway, cement deck, concrete pavers, and other patio features looking less than ideal. Regular cleaning and maintenance, however, can restore your cement patio and ensure it looks beautiful for years to come.
Whether you are spring cleaning or removing stuck-on stains, here's how to clean a concrete or cement patio easily—with or without a pressure washer.

Canadian Real Estate Expected To See A “Historic Correction,” Biggest Drop Ever: RBC
Canada’s largest bank sees the country’s real estate bubble popping like no other. Last week we explained RBC is getting ready to revise its forecast lower, and they made it official today. The bank explained to investors the correction will be larger than previously expected. They’re now forecasting the largest downturn in history for both sales and price. No reason to panic though, the bank says this should be “welcome” after the past two years.
Canadian Real Estate Is Facing Much Bigger Headwinds Than Previously Thought
Canadian real estate is facing significant headwinds due to inflation driving rates higher. Rising rates are expected to accelerate the cooling of the market near-term. By October, RBC is forecasting the overnight rate will climb to 3.25% — a rate not seen in well over a decade. That should close the gap between fixed and variable rates, eliminating cheap money.

An insider view of the crucial process of new development
It’s no secret that Canada has an issue with housing supply. Housing stock has remained critically low across the country for years, and what new homes are built have often been purchased soon after reaching the market. Our country is growing rapidly, and experts like the CMHC have indicated we will need to build almost 6 million new homes in the next 10 years to meet our growing needs.
To the casual observer the problem is easy to solve: just build more homes. For those in the real estate development field, the problem is much more complicated than this.
“There are really several reasons why the supply and demand imbalance has become so persistent,” said Jason Roque, CEO of Equiton. Through his career, Roque has become deeply familiar with what goes on behind the scenes in bringing development to market. Beyond the thousands of residential units that Equiton manages, they are also actively working on new development projects to bring to residents and investors. Like most important work, this task is rarely easy.

If you've been thinking of downsizing, you may have been told that now is a great time to do it. By downsizing your home, you can slash your housing costs and free up money for other expenses or goals.
Plus, right now, home prices are way up on a national level, so if you downsize, you might command a nice dollar amount for your property. In fact, you might walk away with so much cash that you can buy your next home outright without having to take out a mortgage.
But while downsizing could be a good solution for you, it may not be an ideal one just yet. Here are a few reasons why you shouldn't rush to shrink your living space.
