Friends of the Two Rivers Senior Center: Join us at the Two Rivers Senior Health & Information Fair on Thursday, October 18th, from 8:00-11:45am with over 40 vendor booths, educational presentations, continental breakfast and door prizes. Health screenings include glucose readings, blood pressure readings, and light massages. Flu Vaccinations from 8:00-11:30 (please bring insurance/medical card) and Skin Cancer Screenings from 9:15-10:45, will also be offered on a first come first serve basis, sign ups starting at 8:00am. United Way Manitowoc County (UWMC) has kicked off their 2018 Campaign! InCourage Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Center has been selected to participate in Allstate's annual Purple Purse Challenge! This is a friendly competition among domestic violence centers to see who can raise the most money in one month! Let's make this a community effort and help raise great money to fight domestic violence! This year, the Purple Purse was designed by tennis' great Serena Williams. The purse is meant to signify financial independence for the women who are victims of domestic violence.
Miss Harbor Cities Organization, Inc. (MHC): Our sister program, Miss Green Bay Area Scholarship Program, is looking for entrants for the 2019 Miss & Teen programs open to young women ages 13-25 in the counties of Brown, Calumet, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Oconto, Outagamie, and Shawano. There is no fee to participate and no experience is necessary. River's Bend Health Services: High blood pressure has no symptoms, but it increases your risk for heart disease, stroke and more. Lakeshore United Methodist Church (LUMC): Lakeshore United Methodist Church, 411 Reed Ave., Manitowoc, announces its Annual Fall Festival, Chili Fest and Auction for October 26th. The Haven Manitowoc County: The 2nd Annual Cardboard City event is Saturday, at 4:00pm, October 13th through 8:00am, Sunday, October 14th. It will be held in the Haven parking lot at 1003 Marshall St., Manitowoc.
