The Congregational Council has called for a special Congregational Meeting for the purposes of extending a Letter of Call to Mark Hadley on behalf of Shepherd of Life Lutheran church and to affirm his compensation (as stated in the 2017 Budget) under such Call.

OUR PLAY AREA IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Please do not allow children to play on the playground equipment until construction is complete. It is being moved and we cannot guarantee that it is safe at this time. We will let you know as soon as everything is tested for safety.

Fundraising has begun for the 2018 ELCA Youth Gathering. This is an easy way to help our youth raise money to join the gathering in Houston and grow in faith while serving the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Book Club is Back!!

NEXT THURSDAY!

Pastor John, Mark, and Jonathan will all be reading the same theologically-based book and then gathering to discuss their thoughts. You are invited to join them! If you are interested in participating the book is The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World written by the Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu. The discussion meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 28th at noon . Bring a sack lunch and your thoughts on the book. For more information, see Mark between services.

Sunday, October 1st

Join us for a German festival, the likes of which Shepherd of Life has never seen! There will be German food, German music, a selfie station with Martin Luther, games for the kids and more. Don't miss it!

You are invited to Mark Hadley's Ordination service and dinner. In order to prepare, there is a sign up sheet in the narthex for the dinner celebration following the ceremony. Please sign up if you will be joining us for dinner.
