NFSA Layout Technician Training 2019
NFSA’s Layout Technician Training teaches a person with a basic knowledge of math, physical science and drafting skills to be a productive basic sprinkler layout and detailing technician. The class is offered as a traditional two-week, fully supported in-class seminar, or as a “blended” option with a combination of online training and an in-class session.
Two Week Layout Technician Seminar

The Two-Week Layout Technician Training includes all work elements necessary for NICET Level II Certification, including sprinkler selection, sprinkler spacing and location, obstructions to sprinklers, water supplies, hydraulic calculation of sprinkler systems, and standpipe system layout and calculation.

Layout Technician - Blended Learning

The Blended Learning Layout Technician Training format combines self-paced online learning and intense in-person application of the knowledge. The online portion reviews the necessary elements for NICET Level II and the in-class session focuses on layout, design and calculation of multiple types of sprinkler systems.
