Thank you for supporting St. Gabriel Parish School!

Thanks to your support and generosity, we were able to reach our Catholic Schools Walk fundraising goal. So far we have raised $11,453. All proceeds from this fundraiser stay right here at our school.

We still have a couple of exciting incentives to participate in.

1.   For every $100 in donations collected by a family, they will be entered into a raffle for a $500 tuition credit. For example, if your family collects $500 in donations, you will receive 5 raffle entries. One lucky winner will be drawn on November 17th so start collecting!  

We currently have 80 tickets in our tuition raffle.

2.   The top 5 families that collect the most donations by November 17th will enjoy a PIZZA PARTY with Father Tim and Mrs. Lestina (date and time to be determined).  

Our top 5 families have raised between $550 and $1,000. As of today, 10 students will be joining us for a pizza party.

Catholic School Accreditation:

The Archdiocese of Milwaukee has a seven-year accreditation cycle for all of its Catholic Schools.  St. Gabriel Catholic Parish School is scheduled to be accredited during the 2024-2025 school year.  This means that this school year, our teachers and staff are working to gather information and artifacts to show that we meet or exceed the 13 standards and 74 benchmarks that have been established by the United States Catholic Bishops for our Catholic schools. 


As a part of this process, we must gather information from our school parents regarding our school.  The survey link below is used by the NSBECS (National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools) for accreditation purposes.  Please take a moment and complete the survey for St. Gabriel.  I’ve also included a link to a copy of the standards and benchmarks that we will be evaluated on next school year.  If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me.

Congratulations:

We had two volleyball teams play in the Seton tournament this year. 


They both played very hard and never gave up despite some very tough competition.


Our 7th/8th-grade girls took 4th place in their division. Way to go girls on getting to the final four.


Thank you to all of our coaches and congratulations to all of our players for a very successful season.


Letter From Fr. Tim:

I want to first thank each of you for choosing a faith-based education for your children and choosing St. Gabriel Parish Catholic School for that faith-based education. We are very proud of the high standards taught and lived in both our Catholic faith and our rigorous competitive curricular programs. We have high standards for our students, our staff, and our parish and school community … and we are proudly meeting those standards.


I am writing to you today to discuss our Parish & School Auction. This is our most important parish and school fundraiser and you, as parents, are the sole benefactors of this fundraiser. How do you benefit from the Parish & School Auction? All (100%!) of the proceeds raised from the auction are used to subsidize school tuition … or more simply stated, reduce your tuition bill.


Our goal for the 2024 auction is $125,000 … based on our current enrollment, this represents $950.00 per student! That is a lot of money for each of our parents. To guarantee the success of our Parish & School Auction, WE NEED YOUR HELP! Everyone can participate! It is a great way to meet new people, work with very fun people, and be a part of something big! Volunteering at a Catholic school is an expectation, not an ask. When choosing where to volunteer your time, our Parish & School Auction is a great event! (And … you would be doing your part to keep tuition affordable!)

After-School Care Learning Program:

St. Gabriel School’s After School Program is for students in all-day K4 through 8th grades. The program will run from 3:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day and costs $12.00 a day. This program is on a first-come, first-served basis. 


Students must be picked up promptly by 5:30 p.m. A $5 late fee will be charged for late pick-ups.


In order to be able to provide adequate supervision, parents must sign their children up at least one day in advance. Any changes should be reported to the office that morning. Due to staffing requirements, we may not be able to accommodate last-minute attendance requests. If space is available, a fee of $5 will be charged for same-day additions to the After School Care list. Since adequate staffing is arranged in advance, same-day cancellations to the program are non-refundable.


$crip Certificates:

$crip certificates are the perfect gifts for holiday gifts, birthdays, anniversaries, and thank yous. 


You may purchase $crip cards in the school office, after weekend Masses, or online.

Already have an account with RaiseRight? Please place your special orders online by 8 a.m. Monday mornings to have them filled by Thursday each week (excluding holiday weeks).


Scrip is a Win-Win program - WIN for St. Gabriel School fundraising and WIN for our families tuition statements! 


$crip volunteers are needed to help sell $crip cards after the weekend Masses. It’s easy and training is provided. Plus you always work with another person so you can get to know your fellow parishioners.

So far we have earned $143.00 just by scanning receipts!

November Meeting:

First up, mark November 15th on your calendars for our monthly planning meeting. Just by showing up, you could snag FREE tickets - MARDI ON!


Lend a hand & volunteer:

If you're looking to join a committee or just generally help out, check out our UPDATED volunteer sign-up for both planning and auction night. We've got plenty of opportunities to get involved. Help us rock this year's parish and school auction. And the best part? Some of the tasks can be done from the comfort of your own home. Talk about a win-win situation!


Raffle Sales:

But wait, there's more! We're kicking off our GRAND RAFFLE sales this weekend! Only 150 tickets are up for grabs at $100 each. The winner gets to choose between three amazing prizes: free tuition for a year, a trip for two to New Orleans, or $3,500. Whoa, talk about a sweet deal!


Black Friday Shopping:

Last but not least, we're calling all Black Friday deal hunters! We need your eagle eyes to help us find fantastic bargains to purchase and donate to the auction. Keep an eye on your child/ren's backpack mail for more info. next week. Let's band together and make this year's auction a huge success!

We provide all the necessary materials – wrapping paper, gift bags, boxes, tissue paper, bows, ribbons, and even blank tags.

St. Gabriel's Boy Scout Troop 139 will be selling fresh wreaths after 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Masses on November 19th outside the church entrance.


The wreaths are made from fresh greens sourced from Northern Wisconsin. Funds raised from this sale will go directly to support the scouts and their upcoming events, trips, and excursions, available to them through the troop and the national Boy Scouts organization. Last year, our scouts had the opportunity to explore Hocking Hills Ohio State Park and several other in-state campouts at Boy Scout locations and Wisconsin State Parks. By purchasing a wreath, you are supporting our scouts in their journey through scouting. Thank you for your support!
