🎉 ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS 🎉

Two St. Gabriel Alumnae were inducted into the National Honor Society at Slinger High School earlier this month. Congratulations and best wishes to Gianna Brusso. and Lauren Collins big sister to Aiden (7th), Vivien(5th), Masen(3rd), and Jaxen(1st)! Inductees were chosen based on the four pillars of the National Honor Society: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. We are so proud of you both!

Dear Friends and Family of St. Gabriel Parish,

My name is Sam Bandholz, and my family has been attending Mass at St. Gabriel for about 15 years. I attended St. Gabriel Catholic School from K5-8th grade and graduated from the school in 2017. Throughout my high school years, I volunteered as a lector on Sundays up until I graduated in 2021. I am now a student and athlete at UW Eau Claire (I play on the hockey team!), and my faith remains very important to me, and my relationship with God has been growing in big ways, especially in my desire to impact others for Christ.

Through playing hockey I have become involved with a sports ministry called Athletes in Action (AIA), which has greatly assisted me in growing in my own faith and sharing my faith with others. This Spring break (March 15th-24th), I have a chance to go on a sports-based mission trip with Athletes in Action to Croatia. We will be ministering alongside the AIA in-country staff to help accelerate the strategic student ministry they have in Zagreb. Each day we will meet students and discuss spiritual issues with them through a series of cafe discussion evenings. The Croatian staff will then continue to build relationships with students who express spiritual interest. This approach has proven to be very effective as many of the current Croatian staff were first introduced to a personal relationship with God through visiting teams such as ours. I am very excited to be able to go and be an agent for Christ and develop ministry and leadership skills that I can put into practice on my team, on my campus, and for the rest of my life.

Each member of the Croatia Project is asked to raise $2,700, representing a portion of the project’s expenses. All funds must be raised by March 1st for us to purchase airline tickets, budget funds for food, etc. Would you prayerfully consider donating to help meet this need? You will be helping reach students and athletes for Christ in Croatia as we build relationships and share His love. If you are willing and able, you can donate by clicking the link below and by clicking the “Give a Gift” box.

If you have any questions, please email me at [email protected]

Please pray for me as I prepare for this experience and thank you for considering donating!

Sincerely Yours,

Sam Bandholz
