2022-2023 School Theme:

"Plant the seeds of kindness and watch love grow."

WELCOME BACK, EVERYONE!!!

Summer is ending and the new school year is off to a great start. It was amazing to see all of our students come back from summer break! We enjoyed greeting them out front and hearing about all of their adventures.

We have many exciting things planned for this year. Our theme is “Spread the Seeds of Kindness and Watch Love Grow.” We will be focusing on acts of kindness and how they can positively influence those around us. Please encourage your children to spread kind words and participate in acts of kindness whenever possible, just like we are doing in school.

Our five-day-a-week dress code is fully implemented this year and the students have been doing great.  In recognition of their efforts with this transition, we have decided that tomorrow will be an out-of-uniform day.  Students may wear shorts (4 inches above the knee or longer), athletic pants, or jeans.  If girls decide to wear leggings we ask that their tops be long enough to cover their backside.

In addition, next week we have picture day on Thursday, September 15th.  This will be a dress-up day for pictures.  Students do not need to wear their uniforms!  Finally,  Friday, September 16th is our first spirit group day.  Normally, on spirit group days students would wear their spirit shirts with their choice of shorts or pants (they do not need to be uniform bottoms).  Although our spirit shirts are not here yet, we will still be out of uniform on that day as well.  Students should follow the standard out-of-uniform guidelines mentioned above.  Thank you for all of your support and efforts in making this a smooth transition for everybody!

** Please note: This year’s school calendar incorporates enough instructional time to offset one snow day. If there is a need for a second snow day, May 26th will need to be changed to an instructional day instead of an in-service day. School Calendar Link

SCHOOL & PARISH EVENTS

Parent's Night

The St. Gabriel Catholic Parish School Home and School Association (HSA) is an organization designed to facilitate the communication between school and family in a Catholic, Christian atmosphere, to build a sense of community, and to support the needs of our school in its missions.

HSA’s monthly meetings have a faculty member in attendance to promote the relationship between staff and parents. All parents of St. Gabriel students are members of the organization and are encouraged to get involved.

We are excited about this year and looking forward to planning fun events for you and your family. Click the images below to learn more or visit our web page for updates and meeting information. We also have the teacher's "favorite things" list updated for each teacher.
