Summer Bible Camp:

Mark your calendars…we are excited to announce that we will be offering a Summer Bible Camp this year for students in grades 5K-4.  The group will meet Tuesday, July 11,18, 25, and August 1 from 9:00-12:00.  Mrs. Erdmann will be leading the group.  More details and registration information will be coming soon.

Committee Members Needed for Next Year:

With the end of the school year quickly approaching there are a few committee members who are reaching the end of their term as well.  We are currently looking to fill some positions on our School Advisory Commission (SAC) and our Home and School Association (HSA) for the next school year.  Each committee meets once a month (usually virtually) and helps our school grow and maintain the programs and events that we currently offer.  If you are interested or would like more information, please contact the school office at 628-1711.

Book Fair Chairperson Needed:

This year's May Scholastic Book Fair will be the last one that our volunteer librarian, Katie Martinez, will chair.  The Scholastic Book Fair is the primary source of funds that supply reading materials to our library.  Chairing a book fair is not very difficult, and not even too time-consuming, especially if two or more people collaborate on running it.  It has been traditionally run by school parents.  Katie Martinez will still help out as a volunteer for the book fair and will be available to answer any questions that come up.  Please help us keep this much-loved and valuable resource for our school and library!  If you are interested or would like to know more, please contact the school office at 628-1711.

Thank You

After-School Care:

If you need after-school care for your child, please remember to complete the May calendar.

In order to be able to provide adequate supervision we ask that parents sign their children up at least one day in advance. Any changes should be reported to the office that morning. Due to staffing requirements, we may not be able to accommodate last-minute requests. If your child is not on the after-school care list they should not be staying after school! Supervision is required for any student in the building after hours.

Tuition Reducing Programs:

Are you interested in lowering your child’s tuition for the 2023/2024 school year? Here are some ways to do just that…

  • Refer a family (who enrolls) and receive $500 off the total tuition
  • Use $crip and receive 50% profit towards tuition - credits given monthly
  • Commit one day a week for the ENTIRE SCHOOL YEAR as a playground/lunch aide and receive $500 off per "committed day" (sign-up is in August for the upcoming school year and is FIRST COME FIRST SERVE)

FROM THE PARISH BUSINESS OFFICE:

Scrip Credits

St. Gabriel passed along Scrip credits totaling $221 on the May tuition statements. Special thanks to the 21 families for participating in this fundraiser. The next Scrip credits will be issued in the fall. Please continue supporting the program over the final month of school and the summer.

At this time, we are also looking for the 2023-2024 registration fees of $200 per family to be paid by May 15, 2023. Extra special thanks to you if you already paid this amount (or more).

Warmer Weather & Hydration:

Now that spring has sprung and warmer weather is approaching, please be sure your child brings a water bottle from home.  With the school year coming to a close, we will not be restocking our mini water bottles in the School Office. Please plan accordingly because they may not be available if your child forgets theirs. Our water bubblers are fully functional and we have water bottle fillers if needed. Thank you!

At the end of the year, to celebrate their hard work, students get to pick a prize(s) from the AR Prize Shop based on how many points they have in their AR account.

It's time for our Annual Shady Lane Nursery Gift Card Sale. $25 gift cards can be purchased during school hours by stopping in the school office through May 19 or after all Masses on the weekends of May 6/7 and 13/14.
