Advent Prayer Services:

Believe it or not, the Advent season begins a week from this coming Sunday, December, 3.

Each Monday morning during Advent (December 4, 11, and 18), our students will meet in the gym at 8:30 a.m. for a short prayer service and the lighting of a candle on our living wreath.  After the prayer service, each class goes back to their classroom and lights the candle on their wreath that was made during our spirit groups last week.

Please join us in preparing our hearts for the coming of Jesus this Advent season.

Set up an Advent wreath in your home, and gather as a family each week to say a prayer and light a candle.

REMINDER - Catholic School Accreditation:

The Archdiocese of Milwaukee has a seven-year accreditation cycle for all of its Catholic Schools. St. Gabriel Catholic Parish School is scheduled to be accredited during the 2024-2025 school year. This means that this school year, our teachers and staff are working to gather information and artifacts to show that we meet or exceed the 13 standards and 74 benchmarks that have been established by the United States Catholic Bishops for our Catholic schools.

As a part of this process, we must gather information from our school parents regarding our school. The survey link below is used by the NSBECS (National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools) for accreditation purposes. Please take a moment and complete the survey for St. Gabriel. I’ve also included a link to a copy of the standards and benchmarks that we will be evaluated on next school year. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you for your support!!

Letter From Fr. Tim:

I want to first thank each of you for choosing a faith-based education for your children and choosing St. Gabriel Parish Catholic School for that faith-based education. We are very proud of the high standards taught and lived in both our Catholic faith and our rigorous competitive curricular programs. We have high standards for our students, our staff, and our parish and school community … and we are proudly meeting those standards.

I am writing to you today to discuss our Parish & School Auction. This is our most important parish and school fundraiser and you, as parents, are the sole benefactors of this fundraiser. How do you benefit from the Parish & School Auction? All (100%!) of the proceeds raised from the auction are used to subsidize school tuition … or more simply stated, reduce your tuition bill.

Our goal for the 2024 auction is $125,000 … based on our current enrollment, this represents $950.00 per student! That is a lot of money for each of our parents. To guarantee the success of our Parish & School Auction, WE NEED YOUR HELP! Everyone can participate! It is a great way to meet new people, work with very fun people, and be a part of something big! Volunteering at a Catholic school is an expectation, not an ask. When choosing where to volunteer your time, our Parish & School Auction is a great event! (And … you would be doing your part to keep tuition affordable!)

THANK YOU TO OUR 2024 PARISH & SCHOOL AUCTION COMMITTEE:

Connie Helm (Chairperson), Amy Boehler (Committee at large), Jodi Consiglio (Website & Catalog), Tricia Gettelman (Acquisitions), Rebecca Hartzel (Volunteer Coordinator & Administration), Dawn Jorgensen (Parish Liaison), Betty Miller (Acquisitions), Nikki Packee (Marketing), Elizabeth Poff (Call Back Team), Cathy Rusk (Finance), Ryan Schmitz (Committee at large), Amanda Schulteis (Raffles & Class Baskets), and Jenny (Fenzl) Wustrak (Marketing Support).

Contact any one of these amazing parents for more information about their committee and start having fun! AND remember, for every auction meeting you attend, your name gets put into the hat to win a FREE couples ticket. That's a $175 value. The more meetings you attend the more times your name goes into the hat! Join us and help plan this very important fundraising event.

NOTE:

You can find their contact details on the St. Gabriel Directory Spot APP - APPLE or ANDROID,

After-School Care Learning Program:

St. Gabriel School’s After School Program is for students in all-day K4 through 8th grades. The program will run from 3:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day and costs $12.00 a day. This program is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Students must be picked up promptly by 5:30 p.m. A $5 late fee will be charged for late pick-ups.

In order to be able to provide adequate supervision, parents must sign their children up at least one day in advance. Any changes should be reported to the office that morning. Due to staffing requirements, we may not be able to accommodate last-minute attendance requests. If space is available, a fee of $5 will be charged for same-day additions to the After School Care list. Since adequate staffing is arranged in advance, same-day cancellations to the program are non-refundable.

$crip Certificates:

$crip certificates are the perfect gifts for holiday gifts, birthdays, anniversaries, and thank yous.

You may purchase $crip cards in the school office, after weekend Masses, or online.

Interested in learning more about buying online certificates using the RAISE RIGHT app? Please contact Laura Rogacki in the Parish Office (262-628-1141) for the program code.

Already have an account with RaiseRight? Please place your special orders online by 8 a.m. Monday mornings to have them filled by Thursday each week (excluding holiday weeks).

Scrip is a Win-Win program - WIN for St. Gabriel School fundraising and WIN for our families tuition statements!

$crip volunteers are needed to help sell $crip cards after the weekend Masses. It’s easy and training is provided. Plus you always work with another person so you can get to know your fellow parishioners.

If you have a few minutes (approximately 15) to give after weekend Mass, please prayerfully consider helping us sell $crip cards. Contact Cindy Fassbender at [email protected] for more details.

For more information, please email Cindy Fassbender at [email protected]) or Laura Rogacki at [email protected].
