FROM THE PARISH BUSINESS OFFICE:

Meet Mike Reichert - The NEW Director of Administrative Services

Hello, I would like to introduce myself, my name is Mike Reichert, and I am pleased to be your new Director of Administrative Services. My first impression of the St. Gabriel’s family is that it is a vibrant and growing faith community, and I look forward to continuing the excellent work that Ceila Meyer and her staff have done.

By way of background, I live in the West Bend area and am a member of St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception parish where I have been a member since marrying my wife Sharon almost 40 years ago. Over the years I have served on the Parish Council, Finance Committee, and as Parish Trustee, and Treasurer. Although I have been at St. Mary’s for a long time, I am a little bit familiar with the St. Gabriel’s family, having attended St. Hubert’s church in my younger days. I also have two brothers and their families are current members of St. Gabriel Parish.

On the personal side, my wife and I have two children, Sarah who is a project manager for Macco’s Flooring, and our son Chris who is a mechanical engineer and works as a contract employee for John Deere. Both of our children went to Catholic school from kindergarten through eighth grade so we understand and appreciate the value of a Catholic education. Sarah and her husband, also named Chris, live in Pulaski, WI, and they have two children Isabelle 4 years old and Olivia 18 months old. It is great fun, although a bit exhausting when the grandkids come down for a weekend.

I like spending my free time in the great outdoors and enjoy hunting for turkeys in the spring and fall as well as gun deer hunting in November. Time on the water is also one of my favorite activities and most summer Saturdays you will find me on one of the local lakes fishing. My wife and I love dogs and have an affinity for Labrador retrievers as they fit our lifestyle. We like to take walks with our Labrador mix, Belle.

From a professional side, I have had the opportunity to fill various senior executive roles with over 40 years of experience in financial and operations leadership in manufacturing and hospitality. I have served as Chief Financial Officer for publicly held, privately held, and private equity entities. My education includes a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and an MBA from Stritch University. I am an active licensed CPA in the state of Wisconsin. Giving back to the community has also been a force in my career having served on the board of directors for organizations such as the UWM - Washington County Campus Foundation, Glacier Hills Credit Union, and The Family Center of Washington County. I look forward to getting to know and collaborating with the staff, the volunteers, and the families at St Gabriel and I look forward to an exciting future.

You may contact Mike at [email protected] or 262-628-1141.
