From the desk of Mrs. Lestina

Hello St. Gabriel Families!

Check out the following headlines and links to stay up to date on everything that is happening at St. Gabriel Parish School.

We have approximately 2 weeks until our St. Gabriel Catholic Schools Walk.

This year’s event will be a Glow Walk held here on our St. Gabriel Campus after the 4:30 pm Mass on Saturday, October 22. The walk will be approximately 1 mile on our paved areas and walkers will pick up exciting GLOW ITEMS along the way.

Join us for this fun event along with food and fellowship in the Parish Hall. Let's GLOW IT UP!

So far we have raised $2,958.50. You can still help us reach our goal of $10,000 even if you cannot participate in the Glow Walk.

Please visit our St. Gabriel Team Page to register and start collecting donations. Share your page with your friends and family via email and social media. Registering and the event itself is FREE.

So, please, spread the word!

As a THANK YOU for helping us work toward our goal, we have a couple of exciting incentives to announce for our

St. Gabriel School Families.

1.   Register your family on our Team Page and collect your first donation to have your SHOE added to our WALL OF FAME at school! Our goal is for all 92 families we have at St. Gabriel School to be registered and represented. Let’s fill that wall!

2.   For every $100 in donations collected by a family, they will be entered into a raffle for a $500 tuition credit. For example, if your family collects $500 in donations, you will receive 5 raffle entries. Only one lucky winner will be drawn, so start collecting!

3.   The top 10 families that collect the most donations will enjoy a PIZZA PARTY with Father Tim and Mrs. Lestina (date and time to be determined).

4.   As an extra challenge this year, any family that raises $250 or more will get an opportunity to participate in an IMPOSSIBLE SHOT contest created by our very own Mrs. Schulteis. This event will be held during a special pep rally on Friday, October 21 in front of the entire school. All students in a qualifying family will get a chance and if a student makes the IMPOSSIBLE SHOT, they will win an “OUT OF UNIFORM” day for their family!

Channel 12 “Shout-Outs”:

This week Channel 12 (WISN) came to our school and filmed six of our classes, recording a shout-out to their viewers. Watch WISN 12 News This Morning, usually around 6:15 AM, for the St. Gabriel shout-outs.

Theology of the Body:

During the month of October, our teachers will be implementing our new family life curriculum Theology of the Body. Through this curriculum, inspired by the teachings of Pope John Paul II, children gain an understanding of who God is, who they are as image-bearers of God, male or female, and how they fit into the world. Please visit the following website for more information about this curriculum.
