SPECIAL CALLED BUSINESS MEETING UPDATE | On Wednesday, February 12, we voted unanimously to apply for a grant with The National Fund for Sacred Places, a program of Partners with Sacred Places in collaboration with the National Trust for Historic Preservation. If awarded, the grant will be a 1:1 match. We will be notified by the fall if we have been awarded one of the grants. If we are not awarded one this year, we have the option to reapply. These grants are awarded annually.
CBF NORTH CAROLINA ANNUAL GATHERING | CBF North Carolina gathers once a year for worship, service projects, fellowship, and workshops. All are welcome! This year, the gathering is in Charlotte at Aimee's former congregation, Pritchard Church. The dates are March 27 & 28 and all events are free, unless you'd like to eat onsite. NC STATE STUDENTS ON CAMPUS | Students from the Rutherford Roofing Group at NC State will be spending their Spring Break here March 8-15 and will be serving our community. Please help show our love and appreciation by providing snacks such as individually wrapped chips, cookies, granola bars, or fruit. Please drop off in the church office in the box labeled for NC Students. Thank you!
HELPING CHURCHES THRIVE ASSESSMENT | Our congregation has been on a journey of reflection, growth, and celebration as part of the Helping Churches Thrive initiative. Sunday is the deadline to complete an online assessment. Print copies are also available upon request (firstrutherfordton@gmail.com). The results will be compiled and analyzed by our Helping Churches Thrive Team. Together, we’ll use this valuable data to shape activities, programs, and ministries that will enrich our church’s life and mission. Complete the assessment here.
YOKEFELLOW DONATIONS NEEDED | Yokefellow, one of our mission partners, is always in need of shelf stable food items to distribute to our community. This month, they are asking for jelly. We hope to collect 30 items this month! If you can help, drop the donation by the church office and we'll deliver it to Yokefellow.
