With summer approaching, there are a lot of programs for junior players in which to participate!  The aim of the WAC Junior Tennis Program is create an environment in which players can reach their desired potential which they can do through camps, events and tournaments along with clinics and lessons.

WAC Summer Camp will begin on June 13.  There are four daily summer camp sessions from which campers can choose.  Or they can attend the entire day.

The clinic program continues to offer the flexibility, attention to detail and variety of instruction that brings junior players to WAC on a daily basis.

May will feature the Youth v Experience Tournament while June will have a School's Out! Party.
Summer Camp 2016
                                                                                      Summer Tennis Camp will include intense drilling and games
for the  advanced juniors, and fun educational tennis for the  beginner and intermediate players. Includes snacks.



Camp Sessions
8:00-10:00 - Conditioning, Games, Basketball
10:30-12:30 - Tennis Instruction, Drills
1:00 -3:00 - Swimming

3:30-5:30 -  Tennis Instruction, Drills

Camp Fees:   
$29/session plus $6 non-member fee  
$75/day plus $15 non-member fee

Junior Team Tennis 
Spring Season (JTT)
 
The Spring JTT season has been very successful on many levels--beginner junior competitors gained match-play experience while those players with more experience were able to hone their skills and achieve significant wins.

Captains of these teams are volunteers and these teams could not have played without their involvement and support.

All five of the WAC JTT teams came in 1st in their divisions this season! Three teams will be heading to  Sectionals (play-offs) the week of June 4-5 in San Diego due to coming in first in their flight division.   Our teams will play against teams from other sections such as San Diego, Beach Cities, Inland Empire, LA and more. Sectionals will be challenging but it is a very fun event! Congratulations to the teams and captains for such a successful season!

Fall JTT will start in early September and players can register in August at WAC. Players who have not played yet on a WAC JTT team will need a short assessment before being placed on a team.  An assessment day will take place in August.

Junior League and Junior Development League
Join the fun!
For junior players who are just getting started or for those who have been playing but now need to gain match pl
Junior League
ay experience or want to gain more  match play experience, Junior League and Junior Development League have been designed with these players in mind!

Junior League and Junior Development League is offered four times a year (Fall, Winter, Spring and Summ er) for eight week sessions on Saturday afternoons from 3-5 PM.  For J unior League (for advanced beginners/low intermediate players), teaching pros provide drills and instruction for one hour which is then followed

by an hour of match play supervised by teaching pros.  For Junior Development League (beginner players), the players have drills and games for both hours.  Open to 7 through 14 years of age.

The Amazing Race - March 18

Juniors had a great time on March 18 at the Amazing Race.  It featured basketball challenges, serving, hoops and more!


Youth v Experience - May 27

Register at the Front Desk to play in the Youth v Experience Tournament on Friday, May 27 from 6-9 PM.
