City of Perry Economic Development Director, Ashley Hardin, was recently inducted into the Rotary Club of Perry by Rotary Club President George Peake.
New Special Events Coordinator
Nastasha "Anya" Edgley-Turpin started as the new Special Events Coordinator at the City of Perry on March 26, 2019. Anya has almost a decade of experience in the recreation and hospitality industry at the management level. Most recently she served as Executive Director of County Tourism in Grayson County, Kentucky.

Anya was born in California and raised on the island of Oahu, HI. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Corey, who works on Robins Air Force Base and her son, Jack, who will be turning six in May. An avid outdoor enthusiast, Anya enjoys running, mountain biking, stand-up paddle boarding, and hiking. Additionally, Anya jumps at any chance to cultivate her creative side and especially enjoys festivals, performing arts and special events. She is incredibly excited to be in Perry, GA and she looks forward to the opportunity that her new role as Special Events Coordinator with the City of Perry will provide her to serve the community of Perry and visitors to the area. 
Main Street
Congratulations to Terry Mullis, owner of New Perry Cleaners, for being awarded a Main Street Façade Grant. Terry Mullis was awarded $2,200 and recently made significant improvements to the exterior of his building at 736 Main Street. The improvements included roof and awning enhancements, exterior paint, exterior lighting, signage and landscaping. Mullis said it was the first exterior change on the building since it was built in 1954.

The Perry Police Department K-9 Unit participated in the Perry Public Library’s Paw Patrol event held on March 28. The event, which drew over 300 children, allowed children to interact with Perry Police Sgt. Jeff Keenom and his K-9 Maddie, as well as Perry Firefighters.
