The Perry Area Historical Museum’s Latest Acquisition

Recently the PAHS museum received an 1842 book published by Col. Howell Cobb entitled A Compilation of Legal Forms in Use in the State of Georgia: The Rules of Practice and State Papers . Other Perry lawyers of the same time period commended this book in a letter printed on the back cover. The book was donated by Mr. and Mrs. James Tootle of Eatonton who had acquired it as part of an inheritance.
Col. Howell Cobb was the organizer and first superintendent of the Perry Methodist Sunday School in 1828.  Read More.
