Conferences, Classes and Creative Opportunities

A local Bubble Tea shop is looking for a capable artist interested in painting a set of Angel Wings in their store as a "selfie spot." This is a paid opportunity. If interested, please send an email directly to Robert Duong.

Join over 300 juried fine artists and crafters as they fill the streets of historic Downtown Muskegon.  The Lakeshore Art Festival is a unique mix of arts, crafts, food and family fun in historic downtown Muskegon. Guests will enjoy a juried fine art and craft fair, as well as vibrant streets brimming with unique artisan food products, children's activities, entertainment and more! Sign up to become a craft vendor by Feb. 1, 2019.

Local musician Colin Singer has an album coming out around Thanksgiving. He is looking for a local artist to help him create album art for the songs. 
Each song has a story, and an image should be created to go along with each one. There will be 12 songs and images total to tell a visual and audio story. Any interested artists can send inquiries directly to Colin.

Join the growing list of member artists who have shown their work on the Arts Council's exhibit wall. Applications are now open for their 2019 Arts Council Round-One Exhibitions Exhibition space is available for the months of January through June.  All disciplines are encouraged to apply.  Stop by the Arts Council  during regular business hours to view the space and see if it  will  accommodate  your work.

Capital City Film Festival:
Call for Entries
The 2019 Capital City Film Festival call for entries is now open

The Capital City Film Festival (CCFF) is a multimedia showcase of independent films, live touring bands and multimedia experiences that engage audiences in Michigan's capital city. They celebrate artists from around the world who share their craft while promoting and building on the cultural assets of Lansing's diverse locale.

The ninth annual Capital City Film Festival happens April 11-21, 2019 in Lansing, Michigan. 

Categories include Narrative, Documentary, Student, Non-Student Short, Interactive Media, Music Video and TV Program. Submissions must have been produced since Jan. 2017.

The last deadline to submit a body of work for consideration is Jan. 19.
