TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK
MAY 7-11, 2018
There are so many fun and exciting things planned this week to help show our teachers and staff how much we appreciation them. If you haven't already then please sign up today.

Elementary Parents:
 Monday, May 7th:  BOOK DAY! Bring a new or gently used book to donate to your teachers library, or a B&N gift card!

Tuesday, May 8th:  FLOWER DAY! Each student should bring in ONE flower for teacher to make up a class bouquet!

Wednesday, May 9th : CARD DAY! Each student is asked to bring in a handmade card for their teacher.

Thursday, May 10th:  SCHOOL SUPPLY DAY! Bring in a frequently needed school supply in your room

Friday, May 11th:  SWEET TREAT DAY! Each child is encouraged to bring in a chocolate, baked good, candy or fruit!

Middle School Parents:
Please look over the SignUp Genius: Middle School Teacher Appreciation Week and sign up to bring coffee or lunch to one or many. This is a good way to show our teachers how much we appreciate them.

All Parents:
Please help us prepare for our annual Teacher Appreciation Staff Luncheon on Wednesday, May 9th. We are looking for volunteers for the luncheon and gift card donations for our annual Staff Raffle. SignUp Genius: Teacher Appreciation Luncheon

We have a few open board and committee positions for next year. These positions are the backbone to the wonderful support our CRPTO and its members give Copper Ridge School and students. Without our amazing CRPTO many of our events would not be possible including the Book Fair, Carnival, Art & Garden Walk, Art Masterpiece, Field Day, Apex Fun Run, STEM and so much more.

Please consider volunteering for one of the openings, the involvement with your school is incredibly rewarding.

CRS Rescue Week
benefitting Global Rescue Project **Date Change**
May 7th - May 11th

The CRS Student Council, a CRPTO Education Support Fund program, has organized a Spirit Week to raise funds for Global Rescue Project.

StuCo has planned some fun themes for each day. Check out the flyer below. They will be selling participation stickers for $5. Participation stickers will be on sale each morning Friday, May 4th - Tuesday, May 8th in the Cafeteria and on the Elementary Playground

AR CELEBRATION
**IMPORTANT UPDATE**

Our annual Accelerated Reader Celebration, a CRPTO funded program, is scheduled for Thursday, May 17th.

Due to the overwhelming number of successful readers at Copper Ridge School, we will be having two AR Celebrations this year.

Thursday, May 17th

Kinder-5th 1:00 - 1:45pm
Middle School 2:00 - 2:45

All students who have reached the required reading goal for their grade may receive an invitation. The last day to take an AR test will be Friday, May 11th.

COPPER RIDGE NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY

Deadline: Friday, May 18th

Membership in the Copper Ridge School NJHS Chapter, a CRPTO Education Support Fund program, is an honor bestowed upon qualified 7th Grade students. Selection for membership is by a faculty council and is based on outstanding scholarship, character, leadership, service and citizenship.

Qualified 7th Grade students (3.85 GPA or higher all 4 semesters) received a packet the week of April 23rd. Please return your packet to the box in the Front Office by Friday, May 18th.

SUSD District Track Meet
The District track meet will NOT be rescheduled for the safety of our athletes. All track uniforms must be returned to Mr. Chin, Athletic Director, by Friday, May 11th to prevent 2018-2019 school registration delays.
