Lead service line lookup

Louisville’s drinking water is one of the highest quality in the United States, and it does not contain lead when it leaves the treatment plant. Finished water has the potential to pick up lead from the pipes it travels through, including ones in your home. Louisville Water started a program in the 1990s to replace all its lead service lines, and this work is scheduled to be completed by 2020. If you want to know if your service line is lead, you can look it up here . You'll need your 10-digit Louisville Water account number to get started. Please note that o ur available records are only for Louisville Water lines, not customer lines or plumbing within the home.

Teaming up for water education

Freshmen at Holy Cross High School were immersed in water education when Louisville Water and Louisville MSD teamed up to offer a high school program based on the newly created River-to-River joint education partnership .Employees visited Holy Cross and took students on a deep dive into the treatment processes for drinking water, wastewater and storm water. The students also visited Louisville Water’s facilities and MSD's treatment plant at Floyd’s Fork.

Foundation helps local programs flourish

Louisville Water Foundation approved three grants at their latest quarterly meeting. The awards went to the Waterfront Botanical Gardens, Fern Creek High School and Fund for the Arts. These grants will help support water education initiatives for both students and the public, helping to solidify the beneficial role Louisville Water has in our community.

Museum closes for the season

WaterWorks Museum at Louisville Water Tower Park will be closed for the season starting Sun., Dec. 23. The museum will reopen on weekends in February and back to our regular hours in March. We hope to see you then!
