This ship has sailed a long and wonderful journey!
Thank you for the memories!

Thank you all in advance for your patience and understanding as we begin the construction of our new Recreation Space at St. Francis. As you all know by now, the project is set to begin on Monday April 8 th , and therefore for the safety of our students and to reduce the traffic and congestion, we are initiating a Structured Alternative Learning Day . Students in Kindergarten through Grade 8 will “work from home” that day, and will not only receive credit for their schoolwork, but also the school day, as SAL days do not have to be made up at the end of the school year. We do recognize that taking this day may have put a strain on your family situation and childcare, and we appreciate your support in our desire to keep our children safe.

As you may have read in this past week’s Clearer Vision update, we are excited to begin this process of constructing of a new, safe, play-space and recreation area for our students! We are extremely grateful to the MANY Call of the Heart donors at our past two-year’s fundraisers. The first phase of the project includes: moving our playground space away from the school building and onto the field area, the addition of new swings & wood chips, and the extension of our basketball area. The space where our existing playground is will be eventually replaced by a blacktop "peaceful playground" where students can run and play, and will also serve as an overflow parking area for heavily attended events (like the Christmas pageant!).

Please make certain to pay close attention to all details in regards to traffic flow next week, as the school entrance and exit will be reversed ! Thank you again for your support and patience as we begin this project..... see you on Tuesday!
God bless,
Mrs. Russo
