enjoy some photos from Catholic Schools Week 2019.
**Check back for more as we will continue to add albums to the website of the various events as we receive photos from teacher.

We are extremely grateful to our families for your participation, encouragement and support of our efforts in making this a very special week for our students. Memories were definitely made during the week, as each day we highlighted a component of the theme:
Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed.
Crazy hats to top off learning brains were at our opening assembly which highlighted each one of our classes as they shared a learning experience they have enjoyed in their time here at SFX. From History to poetry and from Science to Religion, all of the disciplines were represented showing how learning can be fun!
Tuesday's Patriotic Assembly was orchestrated beautifully by our preschool teachers and students, and included the honoring our SERVICE men and women (both present and veterans), the singing of patriotic songs including our National Anthem (thank you Sarah Girouard!) and the wonderful slide presentation that connected our students and their family members who have served our country. An element of service was also reinforced through our communal giving of canned goods to the St. Vincent dePaul food pantry and our third through fifth graders' volunteerism at Gifts to Give. God Bless America!
Our older students demonstrated qualities of LEADERSHIP as they worked collaboratively to create a cross with their "church buddy" on Wednesday. Together they discussed qualities and virtues that good leaders possess.
Our 7th and 8th graders found SUCCESS yesterday at the Catholic Schools Week challenge, through numerous shining moments of victory including the STEM catapult and improv challenges! Giant Game successes were celebrated by our preschool though Grade 6 students, as they all had a chance to play in the gym.
Our week wrapped up perfectly, as our CSW finale (here at the school) included Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament! Father led our faculty and students in a prayer of thanksgiving for our many blessings on this 100th Day of School for Gr. 1-8. Let us continue to seek the face of the Lord in all that we do!
Thanks for a great week-
~ Mrs. Russo
Open House brought great interest in not only our preschools, but older grades as well.

I Seek Your Face, O Lord.
~Psalm 27

Some of you knew and have kept in prayer Miss Ketschke, our former 3rd grade teacher who entered as a novice in religious life this past summer. She recently reached out to us to send an update on a turn in her journey of discernment. In the spirit of Seeking the Face of the Lord, we are sharing her note here as an update for those who know her.
It's still not too late to send in your "family selfies"....
the kids will LOVE seeing them in the display at school!
