The “Luck of the Irish” is upon us, as we end our week one day early and students enjoy a day off tomorrow! While our teachers will not have a shortened week, they could be in for a treat tomorrow, as we spend a Diocesan Professional Development Day at Bishop Stang High School. The theme of the day is titled, "Celebrating the Beauty of Every Child". The morning keynote speakers are well-known Christine and Christopher Duffley, and they will set the stage for a day of discussions pertaining to individual student learning. Christopher is both blind and autistic and became a YouTube sensation years ago, with millions watching his inspirational singing of "Open the Eyes of My Heart Lord". His testimony and message of "anything is possible" is set to be a perfect one for our teachers to consider as they will engage in breakout sessions on student differences and needs within our classrooms. Christopher will be coming back to the diocese in May, to perform for and share his message with our students as well, which we are looking forward to.
God bless, have a nice long weekend, and Happy St. Patrick's Day!
