Our students and faculty couldn't Imagine a more blessed community to be a part of.
Thank you all for your support!

Indeed the month of March came in like a lion, as we experienced one of the first of our bad weather days on Saturday, threatening the attendance at our major fundraiser! No such chance, as the weather and roads cleared quickly enough not to impact our event in the slightest. A great number of school parents and SFX parishioners bid, bought and bargained their way through the entire evening, as we imagined the possibilities for our school and its students! The newly renovated Century House provided the perfect backdrop for the energy and enthusiasm that was generated by the supporters of our school and its mission.
Parishioner and former school parent, Tony Pimentel entertained us and elevated the fun, motivating bidders and encouraging giving. Hot items of the evening included the class photo and art projects (Thank you Mrs. Angeley our art teacher!), Red Sox tickets, a beautiful Brahmin, and of course Gym Teacher and Principal for the Day. Live auction high-ticket items included the Imagine your Child’s Excitement (week of fun at St. Francis), a week in Wellfleet, and a late addition of a private round trip flight to the Vineyard!
During this year’s Call of the Heart, (monies raised for specific school improvements) Father Williams presented a blueprint plan that helped us to imagine a new and wonderful outdoor recreation area for our students to play safely and happily. A new playground area, basketball court, and additional parking were the catalysts for tremendous participation in this year’s Call, raising $16,500 for the project. In addition, Father announced the financial generosity of a donor willing to contribute substantially to our efforts, which will allow this project to come to fruition in the very near future. More details of this year’s Call of the Heart, and opportunities for additional giving will be forthcoming.
I must admit, after the wonderful whirlwind of the gala, I couldn’t imagine a better finale than Monday’s snow day. The rest of the week moved quickly! Tuesday’s fun included the colorful dress down day and burying of the Alleluia to prepare us for our Lenten journey and sacrifice. Wednesday we celebrated Holy Mass and received our ashes, marking our first day of reflection and prayer. Today we finished the week with the beautiful and moving devotion, as we prayed the Stations of the Cross together in the gym.
Please refer to the Lenten Constant Contact you received on Monday, as well as the additions to this week’s Friday Folder, to join our school family’s efforts this Lent, as we focus on Prayer, Fasting and Almsgiving. There will be more information to come as we move through these 40 days together.

Have a wonderful weekend and God bless-
Mrs. Russo.

We are truly grateful to all of our school families for their generous giving, and our SEC reps for "taking the reins" on basket making!

A tremendous amount of gratitude is extended to our courageous committee chair, Laura Guenette and her "sidekicks" Melissa Maldonado , Barbara Pereira and Laura Duarte who truly executed a wonderful and successful event.
