Another fantastic week here at St. Francis, which actually began on
with our annual
. Our student runners performed quite well, “bringing home the prize” for several events! Thank you to our coaches, Mr. Ferreira, Mr. Crowell, Mr. Martin, Mr. Sylvia and Mrs. Morrison to your dedication to our track program. The positive momentum and steady stride continued into Monday, as that evening we initiated
nine new members
Sr. Louise Place Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society
. We are extremely proud of our newest members and look forward to witnessing the fruits of their leadership abilities during the 2019-2020 school year.
Last night was the
“beginning of the end”
for our eighth graders. Under the direction of Miss Gonsalves, the students executed a beautiful
for their parents and teachers. This annual tradition provides the opportunity for students to express their gratitude through word and deed. The students plan the evening, pick a theme, decorate, and serve their parents a beautiful meal. Words of thanks are shared, and students realize that their graduation is becoming a reality! Last night’s Luau was wonderful, and our 8
graders really demonstrated the power of teamwork. Today faith became the primary focus, as the 8
grade retreat experience entitled,
Courage to Live as a Disciple,
was facilitated by Mrs. Shaughnessy at the parish. Please join us in praying for our “almost graduates” as they spend next week taking finals, rehearsing for graduation, and having final field trip fun!
A very quiet day was had here at school, as most of our classes took their learning
“on the road”
, with Kindergarten through Grade 2 at the zoo, Grades 3 & 4 at Orchestra Moves, and Grades 6 & 7 at the Aquarium. The year is quickly coming to an end…. finishing strong is our ultimate goal!
Have a wonderful long weekend, and God bless!
