Father Rowland from St. Patrick's Parish in Wareham spoke to our Grade 3 through 8 students this week on the topic of vocations!
Hopefully last evening’s early snowfall is not indicative of what is to come for us this winter! I know we are all hoping for more beautiful days of fall weather before winter actually sets in. While two of our classes were scheduled for off site excursions today, only our fourth graders were able to venture off to the Museum of Science. Unfortunately, our third graders were faced with a bit of disappointment as it was decided that the weather would not be ideal for a trip to Plimouth Plantation. The trip for our third graders will be rescheduled for the spring however, as the offsite learning is a huge part of their grade level Social Studies curriculum.

December is right around the corner and with that transition comes many important dates and times for your calendars! Please pay close attention to any and all correspondences sent by both the school and your child(ren)'s teacher to stay informed. A few dates to keep in mind for planning purposes are:
·        Thursday, December 20th - Nativity Performance (K-5), 6:30pm
·        Friday, December 21st  - Early Dismissal 11:30am; No extended care!
Also, in the near future, we will be asking (once again), that you help others discover St. Francis Xavier School! Our new window clings have been ordered, and will be on sale just in time for the holidays. This opportunity to advertise our school will be impactful, and will unite our school community! Please plan on purchasing a cling as soon as they arrive, to demonstrate your support of our school! Clings will be sold for $5 a piece and will be available for sale in the main office, or simply send in your $5 in an envelope and we will be happy to send you one home!
Thank you in advance for your participation in this advertising opportunity.
God bless and have a great weekend-
~Mrs. Russo

Wanted : Someone willing to affix paper sleeves around candy bars for distribution to students and someone with connections that may be able to provide cookies and/or milk for our students on 12/6.
