This week was a short one, yet quite a long one as well! Our teachers have had extended hours and days this week, meeting with all of you to discuss your child(ren)'s progress. Thank you to all those parents who attended parent conferences to invest in the team approach that is necessary for achieving greatest potential! During conferences, teachers shared with you the results from our first round of MAP Growth Testing. The data we are able to gather from this assessment will inform and drive classroom instruction. Students will be setting personal growth goals and will be engaged in the process of improvement. Thank you for your support of our efforts as we continue to make certain that classroom instruction at St. Francis is solid and effective.
The "St. Francis spirit" was alive and well today, as our faculty and students sported their spirit wear, and celebrated our generous demonstration of stewardship and charitable giving. The gathering of these items is a wonderful example for our students, as we provide for those less fortunate than ourselves. Thank you for making the effort to validate the importance of this effort. Your generosity (as always) is very moving.
As the holidays will close in quickly upon us, please pay careful attention to website, classroom web pages and weekly newsletters for the most current and upcoming events throughout this busy season.
Enjoy the long weekend, and please take the time to reflect upon and pray for all veterans. Our hearts are filled with gratitude to any of our school families who are former or active service men/women who serve or have served... Thank you!
God bless and have a great weekend-
