Dear Clients,

CheckAlt is planning to disable TLS 1.0 and 1.1 encryption protocols on our Filexchange servers. This will occur during our regularly scheduled maintenance window of 8 a.m. to noon ET on Sunday, October 18, 2020.

Why is this happening?

CheckAlt is focused on assisting our customers in improving data security by using the latest security protocols. TLS 1.0 and 1.1 are no longer supported by major browsers.

Using TLS 1.2 or higher encryption protocols will help ensure that the highest security standards and safety of your data are maintained. TLS 1.2 or higher is also required to pass many of the industry security audits that CheckAlt participates in.

What are the next steps?

Please make sure this email reaches your IT Team as soon as possible. Your IT Team must verify that the FTP/MFT application used to connect to CheckAlt’s Filexchange servers is compatible with TLS 1.2 before October 18, 2020.

If this is not completed by October 18, 2020, you will not be able to access CheckAlt's Filexchange to retrieve reports and other files. If you need help determining if your systems are compatible with TLS 1.2, or would like to test compatibility with our system on October 18, 2020, please contact your relationship manager and we will coordinate with you as soon as possible. Contact information is below for your convenience.
