Do you know the inspiration behind Octagon Media’s name? While attending a bible study class that focused on the biblical meaning of numbers, the number eight really resonated with founder, Maranda White. She learned that the number eight represented regeneration, resurrection, transition and new beginnings; thus, Octagon Media was born.
Tucked away in one of the busiest areas in the city, Octagon Media remains one of the fastest-growing advertising agencies in Baton Rouge. What started out as only a media-buying firm in 2012, Octagon Media has blossomed into a full-service advertising agency in 2014, offering services such as media buying, event management, website development, commercial production and public relations.
Having executed successful award-winning campaigns for big-name companies such as Aetna Better Health of Louisiana, the Department of Environmental Quality, the Center for Disease Control, the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and Nationwide Insurance, the sky seems to be the limit for Maranda and her team.
However, that is to be expected. Over-achieving is a way of life for the Octagon team and exceeding client expectations is second nature to the team.
“Ninety-nine percent of the time, we have over-achieved what our clients anticipated and that is our goal”, White says. “As a business owner, our clients are great at running their businesses, but our agency wants to be able to assist them by taking the advertising and marketing off their plate so they can focus on what they do best.”, she adds.
Octagon Media is currently located on Sherwood Commons Blvd., where Maranda purchased a 3,000-square-foot commercial building to accommodate her growing team.
