Get to know our new Director
For those of you that don't know me yet, my name is Sheree Boegner and i"m the new Executive Director at The Arts Council of the Brazos Valley.
I was a Senior Business Specialist and Community Advocate with Wells Fargo Bank for the last 6 years and the Executive Director/ Founder of the Sassy Shoe Social, Inc. since 2010. I've been heavily involved with many of our amazing local nonprofits and have received some awards from these groups, including the Woman of Distinction (2016) award by the Girl Scouts of Central Texas and Volunteer of the Year (2016) by the Bryan-College Station Chamber of Commerce. In 2017 I received the Wells Fargo Volunteer of the Year award. The next year, I was awarded the Brazos County Coalition's Voices Against Award, and finally this year, I was extremely humbled and honored to be one of the recipients of the Brazos Valley's Jefferson Award and represented our area at the National Jefferson Awards in Washington, D.C. in June.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Horticulture from Texas A&M University and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Bush School of Government & Public Service, Texas A&M University. I'm currently working on a Executive Master of Public Service and Administrations and expect to graduate in Fall of 2020.
I look forward to meeting you! My door is always open, so feel free to stop by!
