January 2020 Newsletter

Cheers to 2020!

Great things are happening at MDC and 2020 is bound to be a banner year!

We're so excited to announce that our new distillery, located in the former firehouse in Riverhead, Long Island, is on track to be fully operational just in time for the summer season.

But that's just the beginning of what we have planned for the year to come...a year that will also include new products and merchandise, a tasting room in NYC and an ever expanding list of where to find us.

Thank you for your continued support. We're passionate about our work and want to share that positive energy with you in 2020 and beyond.

Cheers to what's sure to be a breakout year!

Did you know?

This week marks the 100th anniversary of the Volstead Act going into effect, officially making the prohibition of alcoholic beverages the law of the land in the U.S.

During the 13-year ban on the production and sale of alcohol Americans didn't stop going out for drinks, they just got more creative. Cocktails took the place of straight liquor in order to mask the taste of poorly made bootleg booze, and an underground bar scene emerged.

Prohibition was officially repealed by the 21st Amendment in December 1933.
