Super Farmers - Growing Greens in December
So we realize local produce options are limited this time of year and we try to play up the... umm... less sexy vegetables. But when it comes to Hakurei Turnips we are not just blowing smoke. These sweet little turnips, also known as salad turnips are outta this world. And we are super excited about trying this recipe for Israeli Couscous Salad because it uses the turnips (roasted) AND the greens. Matt & Jess will also have arugula, spinach, spring mix, cabbage, kale, collards, radishes, scallions and parsley. And let us just say this... you've gotta give this couple a ton of credit for continuing to successfully grow greens in this weather. #superfarmers
