A $2.3M Dept. of Energy Grant will Help Turn Trash to Diesel or Jet Fuel
Turning trash into fuel could potentially be a big part of achieving energy sustainability. A DOE grant will help chemical engineering researchers, John Kuhn and Babu Joseph, further develop a process that produces diesel and jet fuel from garbage.

Bulls L.E.A.D Program
Bulls LEAD, a technical leadership program for engineering students developed by the Engineering Dean’s office, continues to expand. The second cohort of students started this semester.  Inspired by institute models at universities nationwide along with research findings supporting the importance of engineering leadership, the program includes interactive training outside the classroom to strengthen the interpersonal, professional and leadership skills of future engineers.
